Wood Chip Jewelry
The wood chips in this collection have a special place in my
heart. Each year, I visit my family in South Georgia where I grew up. While
there, my kids and I, with my dad, spend time trampling through the woods of my
family’s farm to hand select each stick. We have such a great time together
exploring nature. It brings me so much joy to add a little piece of my family
memories to my designs.
Once I’m back home in Texas, I cut, drill, and hand sand
each piece. You will find several native Georgia tree varieties throughout this
collection, such as; wild cherry, evergreen, tangerine tree, wax myrtle, etc.
Although, pine and cedar are among my favorite varieties from Georgia, I
usually stay away from them for jewelry since they both have such strong
scents.
The wood chips selected for this collection are great for
absorbing your favorite essential oil.
During cold season, I love adding a little eucalyptus and on-guard to my
necklace to keep my sinuses clear. I also add a little oil to my bag swag that
I hang from my car rearview mirror.
I hope you enjoy these designs as much as I do!
Much
Love,
